Sekedar bernostalgia, bahwa dulu ternyata saya pernah diwawancarai sama Kang Asep Haryono sang juragan panci.
|KGRE Champion, via KGRE Pontianak|
Check this out..
Asep : "KGRE is now focusing on SMP Promotion. Do yo have any ideas on how to attract SMP student interest to study English?.
Dini : For motivating Junior High Schol students to love English better, right? Me, as English Instructor in some courses in Pontianak, actually, and frankly speaking, did not really concern about Junior High School students since i am not teaching them. I can't handle them, sometimes. I prefer teaching adult students to young students :D *May I state this?*. However, we must make an enjoyable approach to Junior High School Students by giving them such kinds of language or games as English Ecercise, because students in their ages, let's say them as teenager, need something that can make them fun. For example, when we want them to enrich their vocabulary, we can give them a vocabulary game namely CHAIN WORD. Besides, approaching and learning english for junior high school students will also be so much interesting by listening some songs and watching movie. I'm sure, not only Junior High School students love this way, adult students, even me as one of college students, still love that way!
Asep : "As host of English program on your radio, what are the things to make our English program on the radio is interesting for listener and selling?.
Dini : Interesting question. I have been broadcasting for English Interractive Radio Program in Volare 103,4 FM Pontianak for about 3 years. At first I handled the program, that was so much amazing but very nervous time to broadcast! I still remember that I talked about MONEY as the topic. However, as the time goes on, I start to set myself to be more interesting in broadcasting by being *can I say this?* NARCIST broadcaster heehehehe... I got so many listeners then, even so many loyal listeners. We -Volare, UPT Bahasa UNTAN and ELC-ESA FKIP UNTAN in cooperation held this program- also invite our listeners to come to studio, then discuss together. Before coming to studio, then must register their name first, then we will give them the topic so they can prepare. Sometimes, in some special time, we also prepare souvenir for one of the listeners who join and give their opinion. I believe, by giving reward for those who state their opinion, the'll be motivated.
Asep : "According to your opinion, what is the best way of learning English ?".
Dini : About improving English, there are so many things to do actually. The only problem why people think that they can't speak English or mastering English well is just because of they agree not too confidence to do. Special for speaking skill, I suggest for those who wanna be able to speak fluently, try to speak in front of the mirror or speak by yourself when you are driving or riding your motorcycle. I still do it till now. It works! Try it, then!
