George W. Bush is no longer the President of United States. Anyway, there were so many things left behind in his govern need to ask about. Some of those were questioned by Pink through her song entitled Dear Mr. President. Does the lyric of the song still deserves to share and 'throw' to Mr. Obama? To answer and make sure, check out the complete lyric here.
"Dear Mr. President" is a protest song by Pink featuring the Indigo Girls. It is found on Pink's fourth album, I'm Not Dead (2006). The singer has said that the song is an open letter to the President of the United States, George W. Bush, and that it is one of the most important songs she has ever written. "Dear Mr. President" attracted considerable attention. Most of the discussion concerned Pink's statement that the song was intended for United States President George W. Bush.
The song's format is a series of rhetorical questions for the President; specifically pertaining to how he really feels about controversial issues such as war ("Let me tell you about hard work/Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away"), homosexuality ("What kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?"), the homeless ("What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street"), and drug abuse ("You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine."), and asks "when you look in the mirror are you proud?", and the attempted ban of abortion "What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away?".
Then what about ours, today? Is he crying when begging to Allah SWT for the welfare of Indonesia? Is he able to have warm-sleeping while there are still many conflicts *visible and invisible* happen in our beloved country? Just Mama Ani Yudhoyono know this well, I think.
Counting down from today, we have -just- some couple weeks more to elect the next President. Whether we'll have new vice President for Indonesian *it means, I do hope Indonesian President is still Pakde Be Ye, people :D*, and whether or not, even, our next President perhaps might be a woman *it means, I hope NOT*, I believe that we have been smart enough to think that we HAVE OBLIGATION TO OUR COUNTRY to elect a president. Ah yeah, we are not supposed to choose 2 presidents at a time because we just need a president. But I suggest you to choose 2.
Well, you may count out the reason of my mother to choose Pakde Be Ye. You also may consider why I suggest you to choose 2 in any kind of sources, people. Let me underline you a sentence: it's just a suggestion, not an instruction ;)
No demand to choose 2, however, please ask your truly deeply inside your heart why you are to demand your heart to use its maximum capacity to take part in the next President Election. Remember, it will be the 2nd time we elect the President directly, people. So, be wise 2 choose :)
owkay..your suggestion is accepted..congratulation... *shaking hands*
